What is freeriding?

Freeriding – also referred to as off-piste skiing, backcountry skiing and off-piste skiing – means skiing or snowboarding off the prepared and controlled ski slopes in open terrain. For the ascent you can use lifts or even a helicopter – so you can also enjoy a second, third, fourth, fifth… ride through untracked powder slopes.

The safe mastery of deep snow skiing and knowledge of avalanche awareness are basic prerequisites for freeriding.
