The fortress of King René Château d'Angers is a must-see. Overlooking the Maine River, it is made up of an imposing wall and also houses the Tapestry of the Apocalypse inscribed on UNESCO's Memory of the World register in May 2023! The narrow streets of Angers also take you back to the heart of the Middle Ages, with timber-framed houses such as Adam's, and the discovery of the Abbatiale Toussaint, home to the David d'Angers Gallery.
