This "sweet treats" bike loop is for gourmands and allows cycle tourists to discover a selection of renowned ice cream parlors, chocolatiers, and pastry shops in Baden Country, Alsace, and the Palatinate: Chocolaterie Rebmann in Bad Bergzabern, Pâtisserie Rebert in Wissembourg, Chocolaterie Stoffel in Haguenau, Confectionery Museum in Gochsheim... With a total length of 370 km, the "sweet treats" circuit offers about a one-week discovery in the PAMINA cross-border area between landscapes and gastronomy. Accommodation along the route enables splitting the circuit into stages. The itinerary consists of roads with low car traffic, surfaced agricultural access paths, and dedicated cycle paths. The elevation is very low along the Rhine, more pronounced in the Outre-Forêt, and significant in the Kraichtal and Albtal valleys. Several short variants are proposed for the circuit (see author's tips and route description).

    Author’s recommendation

For shorter routes, here are some 3-day route suggestions (see also route description section):

Suggestion 1: Baden Stage (approx. 148 km)

    Suggestion 2: Baden-Palatinate-Alsace Stage (approx. 168 km)

    Suggestion 3: Baden-Alsace Stage (approx. 139 km)
