Allschwil-Wahlbach (... Odilienberg)
recommended route
Difficulty
moderate
21.5 km
5:39 h
224 m
175 m
Feeder to the Alsace Jacob's Way that comes from Odilienberg.
21km (7.4 km hard surface of which 2.7 km road)
+224 - 175 meters of elevation
= 23.7 performance kilometers
The path largely follows the GR531; at Attenschwiller a shortcut (local path) and between Niederranspach and Helfranzkirch more energy-saving right around the clearing instead of left.
Overnight stays: Allschwil (e.g. Rössli), Wahlbach (e.g. Soleil or Gloriette), I saw nothing similar in between.
Public transport options are extremely rare in Alsace: from Basel direction - if at all - usually only 1 connection early in the evening. Taxi from Sierentz to Wahlbach about 20 €.
