Hike - Forest of la Ravière and Jailloux

Start: Prémillieu (town hall square)
1. Leave the town hall square by taking the Thézillieu road and, at the bend, take the path that continues from the road you just left and climbs towards the Col du Ballon.
2. Rejoin the road left at the bottom of the path. Follow it to the left to pass the pass and, immediately after, take the wide forest track to the right.
3. Pass under the high-voltage power line and go into the forest up to the point.
4. Then make a 180° turn to the left to follow a more difficult path. Cross a stony path and join the departmental road D53. Follow it to the left up to the entrance of Genevray.
5. At the entrance to the hamlet, at the level of the boules court, take the path to the right and follow it up to a bend in the D53 road. Take left continuing on the path left.
6. On the right, you can see the ruins of the Saint-Sulpice abbey.
7. Pass at the bottom of the forest house to find a forest track that climbs steeply through the Jailloux forest up to the entrance of the plateau.
8. At the entrance of the plateau, descend the steep path to the left.
9. The path becomes a wide stony path that joins through the woods a small paved road. Follow it to reach Prémillieu and the town hall square.
