The first part of the route follows the trail of the grand route of Couserans mountain biking. The paths are stony, with quite steep slopes, on the ridges or in the valley. The landscapes are magnificent with views of the Pyrenees (Mont Valier, Guzet...) and beautiful sections through the countryside.
A stretch of road allows you to descend and connect to another path section to reach the Salat.
From there, the return is done quietly along the Salat on the Foix-Saint-Girons greenway for recovery mode.
Author’s recommendation
A fairly physical and technical route in the first part, requiring good mountain biking skills.
