Nature trails in Heidenheim

The Karstquellenweg connects the most important water springs of the upper Brenz and Kocher valleys. Across the European watershed, it links the municipality of Königsbronn and the town of Oberkochen. The Oberkochen loop of the Karstquellenweg runs all around Oberkochen and passes by numerous karst springs. The best known of these springs is probably the Kocher spring, where the circular route starts.

The Karst Spring Route leads from spring to spring, from the Brenz source across the watershed to the Kocher source.

The theme route “Auf dem Holzweg” offers interesting insights into the history of Oggenhausen at eleven stations. At the stations, you can learn a lot about wood and the Oggenhausen "wood cats." At some stations - not only for children - you can access audio plays or a quiz via smartphone.
