Richtenberg

Richtenberg is located near the Baltic Sea coast of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and is surrounded by picturesque landscapes. The town itself is characterised by its historic old town from the 13th century, which is surrounded by a well-preserved town wall.

One of the most important sights is Richtenberg Castle, an impressive Baroque building with a large park and ponds. The town church of St. Marien is also worth a visit: it dates back to the 14th century and houses beautiful works of art such as the winged altar by the painter Philipp Otto Runge.
