Road cycling routes at the Baltic coast of Schleswig-Holstein

The sports route takes you into the hilly inland of the Lübeck Bay. On low-traffic roads, you can really speed up and also collect points for your value card.

Moderate road cycling route on low-traffic roads through the hilly inland of the Lübeck Bay. Over approx. 70 km, you can "earn" points with your score card.

Pedal and climb the hills of Holstein Switzerland. Afterwards, you can enjoy the rapid descent and feel the wind in your face.

Low-traffic, hilly routes  with the wind as your training partner make the Lübeck Bay a road bike paradise and train your endurance and balance.

Die Tour führt von der Ostsee an die Nordsee. Sie beginnt im Hügelland um über die Geestlandschaft in der Marsch an der Nordsee zu enden. So hat man in kurzer Zeit drei prägenden Landschaftsformen Schleswig-Holsteins kennengelernt. Das Highlight liegt an der Nordsee. Egal ob das Wasser im Hafen von Husum da ist, oder wegen Ebbe sich gerade rarmacht. Die Stadt hat einfach Charme.

Ein Test, ob so etwas funktionieren kann.

Die Strecke führt leicht hügelig durch Felder und Knicks in den Naturpark Hüttener Berge. Auf kleinen und kleinsten Landstraßen fährt man bis an die Geestkante der Hügellandschaft. Hinter Brekendorf wird es dann „richtig bergig“. Es geht hoch nach Tirol. Aber auch wenn Du an Tirol vorbeifährst, erreichst Du den höchsten Punkt der Tour erst später. Oben auf dem Aschberg angekommen, besteht die Möglichkeit mit dem Aufstieg auf den Aussichtsturm über 100 hm hochzusteigen 😉 Der Rückweg führt dann wieder durch sanfte Hügellandschaft und Felder.

Mixture of paved an unpaved roads and even some singletrack, so not really suitable for pure road bikes. Would reccoment 30mm tyres, better 40mm or wider. Starts at the train station Ascheberg. Bypasses larger settlements, so there are hardly possibilities to resupply. Take care and be respectful to other traffic participants. Especially when using these so called cycle paths, that are in poor condition, perforated by junctions you can hardly see in advance and tend to switch the roadside without reason and notice...

Nette Tour durch Ostholstein auf überwiegend alphaltierter Strecke. Perfekt für eine nette Rennradrunde.
