From Kis Rigó to Prédikálószék, passing through Sikáros
Selected alternatives for you
Perhaps few would argue that Prédikálószék is among the places with the most beautiful views in the country. The popularity and traffic of this already well-known destination only increased after the lookout opened in 2016. The 639-meter high point of the Visegrád Mountains is typically approached from two directions – the more adventurous, much tougher route leads from Dömös via the Vadálló stones. This time, we run the easier route starting from the Kis Rigó restaurant on the edge of Pilisszentlászló.

Energy distribution
The majority of the elevation is in the first half of the distance, as this is where we climb to the lookout, but it is important to save energy for one or two shorter climbs on the return as well.
Recommended period
Can be completed at any time of day and any season. Expect mud in several sections during rainy periods.
Our trail running section is supported by Dockyard. The route is recommended by the legendary Csaba Németh, Hungary's most successful active trail runner.
Author’s recommendation
- If you don't feel strong enough on the day of the run, you can naturally shorten the return by retracing the outgoing path back to the Kis Rigó restaurant.
- There is no better way to replenish burned calories than a good pancake at the finish. Here you can find the Kis Rigó Restaurant opening hours and menu.

Tips and suggestions
Public transport
Public-transport-friendly
- From the Szentendre bus station, take Volánbusz route number 870 to the Pilisszentlászló, Felszabadulás u. bus stop, then a short walk to reach the starting point.
Directions
- Walk further along the main road a few hundred meters more, then turn left onto the small forest path leading to the restaurant. (Near the village, you can shortcut by turning left onto a steep and narrow path instead of the right turn.)
Parking
- There is limited parking available in the lot in front of the restaurant and along the access road. On a busy weekend day, parking may be full here; in that case, it is worth looking for parking in the village streets.
