The crown of the Danube Bend
Selected alternatives for you
A particularly difficult route where trail running should not be taken literally on the steeper ascents. Expect quite a bit of walking and even more breathtaking trails, views, and moments.

Energy distribution
After a long-lasting descent, from Dömös to Prédikálószék, there is a very steep and tough climb, then after a few kilometers of easing, a serious climb back to the start. Reserve energy for the last kilometers as well!
Recommended period
Can be completed at any time of day.
Our trail running section is supported by Dockyard. The route is recommended by the legendary Csaba Németh, Hungary’s most successful active trail runner.
Author’s recommendation
- We could be glad we don’t start immediately with a climb, but because of the descent, warming up is equally justified. Don’t dash down the slope with cold legs; it’s risky!

Safety information
- The impressive rock blocks of the Vadálló Rocks encourage us to enjoy the best views from as high as possible, but this is very dangerous. Do not climb the high walls, and be careful on exposed sections.
- For the last few hundred meters, it is unfortunately not worth following the mark and the route but stay on the asphalt road. The path passes by the former Nimród Hotel, whose condition is not only sad but also dangerous.
