St Dalmas le selvage-Tête de vinaigre et retour 06-23 by Ben

This is probably the best hike we have done in this area!!! It easily deserves 7 stars. Great views the whole time, not a dull moment, fantastic panorama at the top. And we saw marmottes, a herd of deer and a couple of vultures that flew a few meters from us.

Scenic hiking round trip on the Circuit du Bois d'Anelle from Saint-Étienne-de-Tinée by Ben

A beautiful hike with excellent views and a nice stroll in the forest. Note: there is a water tap just above the start of the circuit.

Cascade du Piolart and Plateau de Sestrière by Ben

A nice walk. The path from the village to the junction is unmaintained, so sometimes hard to find. But it's worth the effort for the beautiful little waterfall and the views. From the path junction to the refuge it's a well-marked path. We returned by the road, more or less, as there is almost no traffic on it in October (the road is blocked higher up between October and June). Keep your eyes peeled for the wild Thyme, Rosemary, Oregano and other herbs along the route.
