FFC MTB Route no. 13: The Lausetta ridge
This route, starting from Isola 2000, reaches the Col de la Lombarde. It will offer you magnificent views of the Mercantour massif on the Franco-Italian border!
The departure is from the snowfront of the Isola 2000 station near the Mercantour gondola lift.
The circuit starts to the left near the Notre-Dame-de-la-Vie chapel and joins the road to the Col de la Lombarde. At the top of the pass, which marks the border with Italy, take a trail westward leading to the Lausetta ridges offering an exceptional view of the Mercantour. At the summit of Moravachère, turn back to reach the Col de la Lombarde and the station.

Author’s recommendation
- Do not confuse with the trail that leads to the Sanctuary of Santa-Anna di Vinadio towards Italy.
- During this walk, you can visit the Santa-Anna sanctuary.
- Risk of snowfield until mid-June, we advise against practicing the activity before this date.

- Follow marked trails, do not take shortcuts, and respect the direction of the routes.
- Before starting a route, check that it suits your level, inspect the condition of your mountain bike, and leave your route with someone.
- Be cautious, courteous, and slow down when overtaking other users.
- Be extra careful during hunting season and inquire about ongoing hunts.
- If you encounter livestock guardian dogs (patous), get off your bike, avoid sudden movements, and detour around the herd.
- Respect private property, cultivated areas, and close gates after passing.
- Have an eco-friendly attitude: take your waste with you and respect the fauna and flora to preserve nature.
- Always carry the IGN map corresponding to the route concerned.

- Regular connections from the SNCF station and Nice Côte d’Azur airport with the 100% Snow bus (line 92) and from Grand Arénas with line 92.

90 km (1h30) from Nice: the Provençale A8 motorway coming from Aix-en-Provence or Monaco. Exit 52 Carros / Nice Saint Isidore then RM6202 bis, direction Digne/Grenoble. At 30 km, junction for Saint-Sauveur and follow the direction of Isola. At the roundabout of the village of Isola, turn right towards Isola 2000 (17 km).Parking
