FFC cycling route no. 24: the Tour of the 2 valleys

Cyclists - passage at Saint-Martin Vésubie
A tour de force that will have you crossing several legendary passes, including the climb to the sanctuary road of the Madone d’Utelle. During Paris-Nice 2016, the stage was won by Ilnur Zakarin ahead of Alberto Contador.
The village of Tour sur Tinée, the first climb of the day, is worth the detour. Entering the village's alleys and discovering the square with its fountain is a pleasure to share.
Next, reaching the sanctuary of the Madone d'Utelle is a real reward, but the interest of this climb is to push a little further along the road to reach the orientation table and discover an exceptional panorama from the Mediterranean Sea to the peaks of the Mercantour.
On the descent, the village of Utelle is also pleasant to explore. It will also be an opportunity to fill bottles at the fountain located in the square.

GOOD PRACTICES FOR GROUP RIDING
-Riding two abreast is allowed, but single file is required:
- at dusk or poor visibility
- when a vehicle wanting to overtake signals its approach.
-In case of breakdown, move to the edge of the road, not on the main lane
-At Stop signs, yellow lights, fixed or flashing red lights, come to a complete stop for the whole group.
-Communicate within the group using verbal signals and gestures to warn of obstacles or vehicles. A simple gesture or word can prevent a fall or accident.
