From the village located on the road to the Col de Châteauneuf overlooking the Paillon valley, the route invites you to descend along the lightly traveled Métropolitaine road to Contes then to the Gravel starting point. From this place called la Bégude, the Ciauric trail and that of mont Macaron will allow you to reach the airy ridge of mont Macaron (806 m) which stretches towards the South, offering a thorough discovery of the former County of Nice whose villages dot valleys and hills around the Azurean capital.
