Gravel Bike - Green Valensole

This route, starting from the large car park in the centre of Valensole, is a gentle first approach to the emblematic tracks winding through the lavender fields of the Valensole plateau and, more generally, through the wide open spaces of this Natura 2000 site.
Passing by large traditional farms, La Moutonne, Les Sivans, La Dauphine, etc., will allow you to understand the extent of agricultural activities in the area, and the way of life in the countryside in the past.
A real invitation to discover, you will come across lavender, sage, hyssop, thyme and rosemary in bloom or even plots of durum wheat... and why not a flock or two of sheep!Once on the plateau, if the weather is bright, you will be able to see the Ventoux to the east, the Barre des Ecrins to the north, and the closer peaks of Lure and Serre de Montdenier.
