Water Sports in Canada

In Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario, canoeing and camping are highly valued. On many campsites and also in overnight accommodations located within the park, visitors have the chance to recover after a strenuous route by canoe, kayak, or on foot.

Canoe route through the Canadian wilderness of Yukon. Following the Teslin and Yukon rivers, you paddle down the two rivers tracing the footsteps of the old gold miners from the Klondike Gold Rush. The Teslin is a nice alternative to the Yukon route from Whitehorse. It is less frequented and offers more wildlife sightings. Bald eagles, moose, black bears, otters, and beavers can regularly be seen on the small riverbanks.

Bowron Lakes - Full Circuit (Canoe) 8 paddling days (canoe) and 7 overnight stays (tent).

This is a 5-day trip taken by Canoe Trails in early August of 2021. It included 4 campsites and 27 portages. The first day included a 515 rod portage and 9 other shorter portages to make it "the hardest day of the easiest week."
