Herzliche Grüße an die Floßbauer und Fahrer von anno 2004 von Dorothee und Wolfgang (damals 60 Jahre alt). Wir sind uns dreimal begegnet, als wir zur gleichen Zeit mit einem Falt-Canadier von Wiseman nach Hughes unterwegs waren. Das erste Mal trafen wir uns an der Floßbaustelle vor Bettles und das zweite Mal 1-2 Tage vor Hughes. Damals habt Ihr an unseren kleinen Camp angelegt und wir haben Erlebnisse ausgetauscht. Die letzte Begegnung hatten wir in Hughes, wo wir unsere Tour beendeten.
Ja, der Koyukuk ist eine Flussreise wert. Es muss ja nicht in jedem Fall ein Floß sein. Besonders die Kochstelle auf dem Floß hat uns freilich sehr gefallen.
Wer die Natur und die Einsamkeit und lange Touren liebt, ist dort richtig. Bären, Elche und Wölfe waren allesamt sehr friedlich.
Gesundheit und auch mal wieder erlebnisreiche Flusstouren wünschen wir allen!
