Weather
The combined weather map from MetGIS shows the areas where clouds, rain, and snowfall are located.
Clouds
Cloud cover is given as a percentage (0-100%). 0% stands for clear skies, 100% for completely overcast skies. 75% cloud cover, for example, means that three-quarters of the sky is covered with clouds.
Rain
Precipitation amounts are given for every 3 hour period and account for rain or sleet (without the formation of a snow cover). The unit used is mm (equivalent to liters per square meter).
Snowfall
Amounts of new snow (in cm) are given for every 3 hour period. The new snow areas appear particularly well structured on the map due to the adaptation to the high-resolution terrain.
