Long route on forest paths over three different summits near Wörgl.

Ascent with the Kitzbüheler Hornbahn I and the Horngipfelbahn to the Kitzbüheler Horn summit at 1996m. From there a short descent via the beautiful Ludwig Scheiber Path to the via ferrata and then back to the summit via the via ferrata.

Nice approach from Pointen without cable car assistance up to the via ferrata. The via ferrata (C/D) through the north face of the Kitzbüheler Horn features steep vertical sections and airy traverses. From the summit, there is a wonderful panoramic view of the Kaiser mountains, the Loferer Steinberge, and towards the south, the three-thousand-meter peaks.

This 4-day hut route starts at the Durlaßboden Reservoir and leads via the Zittauer Hütte, the Richter Hütte to the Plauener Hütte, circling 270° around the Reichenspitze.

This definitely not short hut crossing requires good fitness as well as surefootedness.
