Following Community members and organizations
The Outdooractive Community lets you follow and interact with other members and organizations, and be updated on their activities in your Community feed.
No more missing out
Has that guy recorded any awesome tracks or published more of his routes? Is that a new point of interest in my favorite place? Are there any new events to look forward to?
If you decide to “follow“ a person or organization, information about anything new that they publish will immediately show up in your feed. This equally applies to any content they decide to review/interact with or challenges they sign up to.

Who to follow?
If you're keen to start connecting with people and customizing your feed, we're there with suggestions of individuals and organizations we think might interest you.
On the web version, you can also use the existing search function (in the dropdown top left of the screen) to locate and navigate to profile pages where you can simply click the 'Follow' button. The content will then start showing up in your Community feed.
Your “My Page” lists the accounts you're following. In the app, you’ll also find a button that lets you search the Community. Suggestions from us are also included.
Unfollowing others can be done with a single click on their profile page or via your list.
What about people following me?
Of course, other people can follow you too! The idea is to inspire one another as a Community. They can see any public content you create or when you interact with others via questions or reviews.
Rest assured, everything you set as private will stay that way and cannot be seen regardless of whether someone follows you or is simply visiting your profile.
When automatically publishing your tracks, you can make also use of 'privacy zones' for that extra sense of security.
To manage your privacy zones in the app: go to 'Settings', then 'Privacy', then 'Privacy zones' (scroll to the bottom).
To manage your privacy zones on the web: go to 'My Page' (in the dropdown), then 'Settings', then 'Privacy', and finally 'Privacy zones' (also at the bottom).
Blocking users and opting out
Occasionally, you may want to block or report someone - or you might just want to stay completely private.
Blocking and reporting a concern about someone is easy. There are 3 dots in the top right corner of their user profile- click on it to decide on your course of action. A blocked person will then be unable to see or interact with your content.
While we hope that you'd want to share your adventures with others, if you decide entirely that following people and them following you is not your thing, no worries. To disable the feature, simply go to your settings, 'Privacy', 'Community features', and switch it off.
Please note, that if you set this feature to off, anyone you might already follow and vice versa will no longer be connected to you. They will not get updates about you and you will no longer know about their actions.
