Interactive feature
The Outdooractive map is now even more interactive – you can now engage directly with the symbols on the map. This feature is available in both the OpenStreetMap (OSM) and the Outdooractive map.
On our knowledge page “Map Legend,” you’ll find an overview of clickable symbols listed under the headings “Topographic Sign”, “Touristic Infrastructure”. and “Lift”.
You have several ways to interact with the map. Clicking on an empty spot will display a location description along with its coordinates. Clicking on a symbol in the map, the Route Finder, or the Route Planner will open a small preview window at the bottom of the screen with information and interactive options related to the selected point.
“Route to here”
- Automatically opens the Route Planner
- The selected point is automatically set as the destination (Point B) of your route
“Coordinates”
Displays all available coordinate formats with the option to copy them with a single click
“Three-dot menu”
- Allows you to share the selected point
- If the symbol is linked to a POI with additional information, an extended sharing option becomes available
- In the app, you can share the point via all installed and compatible apps
If more information is available for the selected symbol on our platform, the preview window will also include a direct link to the corresponding POI page.
Interaction with the Snow Depth layer
In the Snow Depth layer, you can now view the exact snow height for a specific point.
Simply click on a point on the map, and the snow height will be displayed next to the selected point. Additionally, a small info window will open showing location details and coordinates of the point, along with the option to share the coordinates with others.
This feature is included in the Pro+ subscription.
