Offroad routes in East England

A relatively easy going 50 mile green lane run around the areas of Thetford Forest and Kings Forest. 

A 30 mile/50Km run around the Kings Forest, Elvedon & Euston areas of The Brecks.NOTE: A section of this route has a seasonal TRO in place between 31 Oct & 30 Apr.

Mostly dirt road with a few slim spots along the trail. Very pretty fields and forested areas along this short route. The alternative road towards the end (very close to the end) had deep ruts and tight turns in it that caused my Freelander 2 with 31” KO2 tires to bottom out pretty good but not enough to high center me.

Some open nice trail to begin with a easy difficulty the whole time. As of July 2023 a lot of this route was shut down due to Suffolk county legislating it for different reasons from farming to nature conservation to road work. Some old pics include with some new ones.

90 mile loop Start in free lay by Fuel stop 45 miles ish at wells and chippy. Watch out for the steves

A 2.1mile unsealed road that motor vehicles can use.

Off road motorcycle (dual sport / adv bike) route Be mindful of recent weather / time of year if it's been raining then the lanes will get muddy and potentially be quite challenging especially in the fens.

Short route though some fields and pastures. Other routes closed by are closed.
