German Wine Route - Tourism route by Nicola

May 03, 2021 · Zum Wohl die Pfalz

Sollte man mal gemacht haben - egal ob als Tourist oder Einheimischer! Wir haben uns das Cabrio geschnappt und sind einmal die komplette Weinstraße von Bockenheim bis Schweigen-Rechtenbach gefahren, erst noch bei Wolken dann aber bei strahlendem Sonnenschein! Anfänglich hatten wir zwar ein paar Probleme, der "richtigen" Straße zu folgen, aber das hat uns auch einen Abstecher zur Burg Altleinigen eingebracht, der sich auf jeden Fall gelohnt hat! Später war es dann überhaupt kein Problem mehr der Beschilderung zu folgen. Unterwegs bieten sich zahlreiche Möglichkeiten, um das Auto mal abzustellen und die Aussicht zu genießen oder sich einiges mal genauer anzuschauen! Wir haben einen kurzen Picknick-Stopp im Schloßgarten Herxheim eingelegt, sind durch die (noch blühende) Mandelbaumallee am Geilweilerhof spaziert und das Deutsche Weintor erklommen. Auf dem Heimweg gab es dann noch einen Halt an der Kleinen Kalmit, um den Picknickkorb noch ein wenig zu leeren. Ein rundum gelungener (Heimat-)Urlaubstag!
