Despite the drilled belay bolts, the “Cassin” remains a serious and not to be underestimated undertaking, as retreat is still difficult. The illusion of safety naturally attracts inexperienced or overwhelmed climbers who give the bivouac hut at the summit a reason for existence again.

Quite exposed, with few protection possibilities, it goes in easy climbing, to the highest summit of the Silvretta with views over the Silvretta, the Engadin up to the Bernina massif.

Beautiful and very rewarding granite climbing not far from the Albigna hut. The route always runs along beautiful crack lines and over two great roofs that can be perfectly protected.

The north ridge of Piz Badile (3,305 m) is one of the most magnificent ridge climbs the Alps have to offer! "Magnificent" also refers to the demands on its aspirants: the stamina must be good for the planned 12 hours (20 - 25 rope lengths), as you need to stay focused even during the descent until the end! The climbing difficulties (V+) must, of course, be safely mastered with a backpack (provisions, crampons for the return journey ...) and comfortable shoes. The higher you climb, the more intermediate protections and belays must be set up by the climbers themselves. And whoever also has a good sense of orientation will have a true dream route in granite!

Piz Linard southeast ridge from the Linard hut by Till
