The classic north face route in the Stubai Alps, which is feasible as a day route thanks to the support of the cable car. Due to melting, the tour is recommended more for spring with touring skis; the bare ice sections are then reduced to one rope length, and the rest is walked in snow.

This high-elevation hut crossing presents no technical difficulties but largely traverses glacier terrain.
