Die Tour ist falsch beschrieben. Den unteren Teil des Gletschers (laut Karte) gibt es gar nicht mehr. Wenn man dem Track folgt geht man über matschiges abwechselnd Blockgelände und quert zahlreiche Abflüsse. (August)
Nachdem ziemlich geraden Aufstieg von der Vernagthütte quert man einen Felsrücken und steigt danach gerade aufwärts. Erst danach beginnt der Gletscher! Hier kann man den steilen Teil (von unten rauf blickend) links hochklettern und umgehen und erst oben am flachen Teil einsteigen.
An der (von unten gesehen) rechten Flanke herrscht starke Steinschlaggefahr!
