10 ladders, 130 stirrups and 180 meters of wire rope. Overall, the Boppard via ferrata is easy, suitable for beginners and children. Ein toller Klettersteig am Mittelrhein mit vielen tollen Ausblicken.
Der Klettersteig ist für Einsteiger super geeignet. Hier könnt ihr die ersten Schritte wagen und euch vom Klettersteigvirus anstecken lassen. Idealerweise kombiniert ihr den Klettersteig mit einem Klettersteigkurs, in dem ihr wichtige Techniken und Sicherheitsaspekte erlernt.
Der Klettersteig verläuft entlang der alten Bopparder Weinberge mit vielen Leitern, Tritthilfen und einigen kurzen Wanderpassagen. Der Steig ist bestens für Kinder geeignet, jüngere (bzw. leichtere) sollten dennoch an einigen Passagen zusätzlich gesichert werden. Achtung: alle Abschnitte sind bei Regenwetter recht rutschig, zusätzlich sollte ein Helm obligatorisch sein.
Der Höhepunkt der Tour ist die letzte Schlüsselstelle an einem Felsen, der nach oben zum Ausstieg führt. Hier bekommt ihr noch einmal einen tollen Ausblick über Boppard und dem Rhein.
Wer die komplette Tour weiter wandern möchte, hat noch drei gemütliche Kilometer bis zum Vierseenblick und dem Gedeonseck vor sich. Nach dem Abstieg wartet dann im Basecamp in Boppard ein typisches Gipfelgetränk und Leckereien auf euch.
