High above the Lauterbrunnen Valley on the Mürren viewing terrace (1,640 m a.s.l.) the via ferrata begins, leading into a steep abyss. Usually, via ferratas go upwards. In Mürren, however, it goes almost "diretissima" downwards towards Gimmelwald. 300 vertical meters and 2.2 km of via ferrata are covered in about 3 hours.
