Via ferratas in Mittenwald

The Mittenwalder Höhenweg via ferrata (A/B) could be better described as a secured high-altitude trail. It leads from the Karwendel cable car to the Brunnsteinhütte in a magnificent Karwendel setting and then back down into the valley.

More a secured high trail than a via ferrata in a great Karwendel environment. Suitable for beginners in via ferrata who are free from dizziness and have some mountain experience. The via ferrata difficulties are manageable (max. B), but some places are very exposed. Since the long descent via the Brunnsteinhütte has to be managed, a certain level of fitness should be brought along.

At the start, a normal, later somewhat more difficult mountain route up to the via ferrata, followed by one of the most beautiful ridge hikes the Karwendel mountains have to offer, over 6 summits you climb. | Kirchlspitz (2,303m) - Sulzleklammspitze (2,323m) - Southern Linderspitze (2,306m) - Middle Linderspitze (2,239m) - Northern Linderspitze (2,374m) - Western Karwendelspitze (2,385m) |

This challenging mountain hike leads us to one of King Ludwig II’s favorite places, the Soiern lakes.  

The Mittenwald via ferrata is probably one of the most beautiful mountain tours in Alpenwelt Karwendel. It follows the ridge between the mountain station of the Karwendelbahn (2244 m) and the Brunnsteinspitze (2179 m). With magnificent panoramic views, it leads over a total of seven two-thousand-metre peaks in the Karwendel mountains.
