Her longest competition distance so far has been the half marathon, which she completed in 1 hour and 47 minutes. For the green route through Grünau, we meet at the wooden playground next to the Meri Sauna on the Markranstädt side of Lake Kulkwitz.

First sweat, then swim – that could be the motto for a jogging route around Cospudener See in summer. The nearly 11-kilometer-long route leads once completely around the pearl of the Leipzig New Lake District in the south of the city. Worth a detour is the Bistumshöhe observation tower; climbing it also brings bonus points for fitness. Back at Lauersche Straße (start and finish), a refreshment awaits the runners. The sandy beach of Costa Cospuda is just a few steps away.

In the heart of Leipzig, on the northwestern edge of the city center, there is another running mecca: the Rosental. The large green space offers everything a jogger's heart desires with an extensive network of paths through forest and meadows. A sprint up the Rosental hill with its lookout tower provides an extra kick. But even at ground level, the zoo display window on the Große Wiese offers plenty to see and marvel at.

For joggers who truly want to reach new heights, the Südvorstadt has a real highlight in store: the Fockeberg. The 6-kilometer route from the city edge to Fockeberg and back demands a lot, but rewards with an unbeatable panoramic view over Leipzig - climbing a peak can be this beautiful.
