On this nearly 100 km-long route, you follow in the footsteps of the only Dutch spring classic, the "Amstel Gold Race", which finishes in the neighboring Valkenburg above the legendary Cauberg. Starting at the three-country point, the original route of the classic bike race takes you over some steep "hellingen" (climbs) with gradients up to 20% towards Valkenburg, where you must conquer the legendary Cauberg before returning on parts of the original route back to the three-country point.
