Cultural and historical walk through the Monserrat and San Telmo neighborhood
The neighborhood of San Telmo is already renowned for its cultural imprint; Tango is almost a synonym for this area of Buenos Aires. Although years ago it was a neglected area due to yellow fever, as the city expanded it regained its prestige and today represents one of the most visited tourist neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. Here you can find architectural, archaeological, and historical museums, as well as modern art museums, along with the most traditional bars and cafés in the city, where bohemian and revolutionary culture found its niche between cigarettes and coffees, conversations, and truco card games. There are also markets, fairs, and tango conventillos. At the end of the route, we pass through open areas to rest from the urbanism of Buenos Aires, passing through Parque Lezama and returning to the starting point bordering Puerto Madero.
