The Walserweg Italia project is a 190 km route created to connect the 12 Italian Walser communities, between Piedmont and Aosta Valley.

An immersion into the treasures that keep alive traces of the Walser culture, to discover the ancient mountain civilization, high-altitude landscapes, evocative panoramas, and still active historic alpine pastures. 

A route immersed in wild nature that retraces the steps of the ancient Valsesian migrants who traveled the Via Regia to reach Switzerland in search of fortune.

A route within the Alta Valsesia Natural Park that offers genuine emotions, breathtaking high-altitude panoramas, high-altitude alpine pastures filled with silence, and alpine horizons that stretch over the Monte Rosa massif.

Long route, but full of emotions and spectacular views of the Valsesian Rosa, towards the legendary Colle del Turlo, searching for traces left by the Walser, among idyllic lakes, military roads, and paths once frequented by miners. 

A charming hike immersed in a spectacular landscape that will accompany you throughout the route, among scenic waterfalls and mountain lakes following the trails of the historic villages of the ancient Walser civilization.

A unique experience following the footsteps of the "Walser of Silence", walking ancient paths surrounded by greenery amidst spectacular high-altitude alpine landscapes and ancient villages submerged by water.

Discovering the Formazza Valley and the Walser people as far as Salecchio, past wooden and stone villages, spectacular landscapes and the majestic Toce Waterfall.

The Via Francigena leads from the cathedral in Canterbury in southeastern Great Britain through France and Switzerland to St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
