Abenteuer im Herzen Afrikas: Der Central Circuit Trail im Ruwenzori-Nationalpark in Uganda wird nur selten begangen, ist aber ein wahres Trekking-Juwel. In 9 Tagen wandert man durch dichten Berg-Regenwald mit riesigen Pflanzen und unendlich scheinende Hochmoore bis hinauf zur Steinwüste im Hochgebirge. Über den Gletscher am Mount Stanley gelangt man zum Margherita Peak auf 5109 m, bevor es über die Kitandara-Seen wieder hinunter in den Regenwald geht.
