From the Alps to the Danube - hiking paradise Austria

Due to its location in the Alps, Austria is a country with countless beautiful hiking opportunities. In the west are the federal states of Vorarlberg and Tyrol, known for their wonderful mountain hikes. In the "middle" of Austria, in Salzburg and Carinthia, fans of alpine hikes also get their money's worth. In the east, around Vienna and in Burgenland, there is also a large selection of beautiful hikes.

A look at the travel guide pages of the individual federal states, where we present the most beautiful hikes, will give you a good overview:

Saualpe - southeastern foothills round by Johannes
October 26, 2025 · Community
